Here’s how to play Pokémon GO in landscape mode

Here’s a nifty little trick if you’re tired of playing Pokémon GO in portrait mode and prefer to play it in landscape, instead. It’s not official and appears to be a bit of a bug, but it should work just fine.

In the video below, TechInsider shows us exactly how it’s done, but we’ll break it out in case you prefer to read the steps. It was first spotted on Reddit.

First, turn your phone horizontal as if you’re playing in landscape. Then, tap the Poke ball. Next, tap settings, tap “report high-priority issue,” and tap “Yes.” The phone will minimize the app and launch the browser. Head back to your homescreen and open up Pokémon GO again. Boom, it’s in landscape.

Pretty neat, huh?
