Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) was introduced just four months in the past, Samsung is getting ready to launch a brand new, S Pen-equipped model of the slab. Earlier reports indicated that a Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) model with S Pen enhance is within the works. Lately, the guys over at Sammobile posted a couple of leaked high-resolution press pictures of the slab.
The S pen in the new Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is said to include the similar hardware stylus, and the similar device options as the Galaxy Note 7’s S Pen. As such, anticipated options come with the fast translation function, the display off memo capability, in addition to the brand new Samsung Notes app that debuted at the Galaxy Note 7.
The 10.1- inch display comes with WUXGA (1900 x 1200 pixels) resolution same as the earlier launched variant. Apart from S Pen, there is not a lot of difference between the both the variants. As you’ll be able to see from the leaked pictures above the slab maintains the design and the construct of its penless older sibling. The hardware components are said to be consistent as well as it comes powered by in-house Exynos 7870 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with Mali T830 GPU. The upcoming Galaxy Tab A 10.1 comes with the same 2GB of RAM as seen in the previous version.
Other rumored specs include 16GB of expandable internal storage size, but there’s no information about the battery except that the tablet is said to give 13 hours battery life with normal usage. There is an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. That’s far from an impressive camera setup, but this is, after all, a tablet.
Currently, the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2016 is retailing around $300 and with the S Pen and 3GB RAM, the upcoming tablet might price between $350 to $400 price range. There’s no word on the launch date yet but with its listing on Samsung Korea website, it might be launched soon in the company’s home country.
