Sony has been using the same tactic every time it launches a new high-end smartphone, free stuff with each pre-order. Well, this year is no exception and customers who pre-order the Xperia XZ in Europe will get a free headset. Sony has started taking pre-orders on its latest smartphone, the Sony Xperia XZ in Europe and the handset is available to pre-order in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland and the UK.
Sony are offering the Xperia XZ with a free Sony MDR-XB950BT headset which normally cost £100. However, you must pre-order the Xperia XZ until October 5 in the UK and October 10 in the rest of Europe, respectively, if you want to take advantage of this offer.
As a reminder the Sony Xperia XZ comes with a a 5.2 inch FHD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and it also comes with 3GB of RAM and a choice of 32GB or 64GB, plus a microSD card slot for extra storage. The Xperia XZ comes with Android Marshmallow and it features a 23 megapixel rear camera and a 13 megapixel front facing camera. Battery capacity reaches 2,900mAh with Quick Charge and a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button. Internal memory can be expanded to 256GB using a microSD card and the smartphone measures 146 x 72 x 8.1mm and weighs 161 grams.
Sony announced that the Xperia XZ will be made available in three colors, Forest Blue, Mineral Black and Platinum.
The price the phone varies by country and retailer. Even in the UK, you can grab one for either £500 (Carphone Warehouse) or £550 (Clove). The smartphone carries a price tag of about $786 in Italy, the Netherlands and Germany, $822 in Sweden and $772 in Poland.
