It’s a new day, and that means more new leaks about Samsung’s upcoming flagship. It almost seems like someone doesn’t want the excitement to die, if you know what I mean. Leaks can after all be a free product marketing among enthusiasts. Evan Blass posted the above image on his twitter handle. Android O first Developer Preview available for fownload

Continuing the transparency of Android development, Google announced the first Developer Preview of Android O. This Developer Preview is meant to provide an early access to developers so that they can start making their apps compatible with the new APIs and design guidelines. This is in no way meant for consumers or as a daily driver being the very first preview and it unstable. Samsung officially announces Bixby, the virtual assistant arriving with the Galaxy S8

We’ve all known Samsung was planning to be the next name after Apple, Google and Microsoft to have its own virtual assistant. Well, we can now officially put Samsung on the list. The company took to its own blog to officially announce Bixby, the virtual assistant that will be a core feature on the upcoming Galaxy S8. However, Samsung has taken a slightly different approach to the mainstream digital assistants, or agents as the Korean giant likes to call them. Leaks, leaks, leaks. And also rumours. Samsung’s upcoming flagship has been the topic for a lot of those, and yet everyday something or the other keeps on popping out every day. From a rumour claiming the Galaxy S8 will have a super fast facial recognition to some claiming it will feature a 1000fps slow motion video capture, now that a Sony Xperia has 960fps slow-mo video recording, there’s been a lot of wild ones. Google reportedly working on a third Pixel smartphone codenamed ‘taimen’

It was recently leaked that Google’s follow up to 2016’s Pixel and Pixel XL have been codenamed ‘muskie‘ and ‘walleye‘. So we know Google is at least keeping the trend of codenaming their devices based on marine life. However, according to a new report, it would seem Mountain Veiw has another device, specifically a smartphone, up its sleeve. Multiple sources cited by Droid-Life are now claiming that the Search giant is working on a device codenamed ‘taimen‘. Samsung Galaxy S8 is weeks away from its official announcement and the rumours ad leaks don’t seem to stop. There were recent rumours suggesting the Galaxy S8 might feature speedy facial recognition. Now we have more leaks featuring the Galaxy S8 and S8 edge as you can see above. Along with those we now also have some screenshots of the UI displaying the homescreen. Blackberry releases a new Privacy Shade app for Android

Since moving to Android, Blackberry has pivoted from a hardware manufacturer back to its roots, as a software company focused on privacy and security. Blackberry smartphones are now outsourced instead of being manufactured in-house by the company. As part of its new found direction, Blackberry has been releasing apps for the Android Platform. Continuing the tradition, after launching its Notable app last month, Blackberry has now released a new app called Privacy Shade. Each iteration of the Sony Xperia flagship has almost always brought with it new themes and Live Wallpapers. Lately though it seemed Sony had decided to discontinue that trend since they did not launch any new live wallpapers after the Xperia Z5 line. Fortunately for fans though, Xperia XZ Premium and XZs did bring new themes and a new live wallpaper with them. Samsung Galaxy S8 rumoured to feature speedy facial recognition

As the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 neared, we’ve had all sorts of rumours and things were starting to look settled down giving a more and more clearer picture of what to expect. It seemed we knew almost everything there was to know about the device but what do you know, turns out there are still more rumours to come. The latest one claims that the Galaxy S8 will feature a speedy facial recognition capable of unlocking the device in 0.01 seconds.
