Facebook Messenger Rooms come online in select countries

The Social Networking giant has taken a page off Yahoo’s book, and is starting off with Facebook Messenger Rooms.

These are essentially Facebook chatrooms, created around topics of mutual interest. The Yahoo Messenger did this quite successfully for over a decade, and this was one of the most appreciated features of the now defunct messenger. OnePlus Australia website is fake, devices still won’t be available in Australia

If you’re not living in Australia, you probably might be surprised to know that OnePlus has yet to bring a phone to Australia. A website oneplus.com.au went live today and those who spotted it saw a bit of hope, and if you were one of those, you’d probably not like to hear that it’s not an official OnePlus website nor has it any affiliation with the Chinese OEM.

(Update : @MSAU officially confirms what we have suspected) Microsoft Australia supposedly confirms the Surface Phone! But we think not

Update : We contacted Microsoft Australia regarding this supposed accidental tweet and they have denied the tweet was from them and may have been edited. Analysing the situation closely however, as a conspiracy theorist, it may even be possible that the earlier report was true, and of course Microsoft Australia would want to cover it’s tracks. It seems very unlikely, however, we like to consider all possibilities.  We’ll let you decide for yourselves. In any case, it’s nice to see

Brooklyn dude in Sydney becomes the first Pokémon Go trainer to catch them all, around the world

It’s not Gary Oak, but he might as well be. It’s 28-year-old Nick Johnson, a New Yorker who has recently travelled around the world on a quest to catch ’em all in Pokémon Go.

Australia is drifting away and it’s messing up GPS coordinates

Whenever you’re out in the wild and you’ve lost track of where you are, your smartphone’s GPS (or global positioning system, if you’re insistent on giving it its full and proper name) is always on hand to get you out of danger.

Unfortunately, though, it appears Australia just isn’t content with allowing this technological tracking miracle.
