Google Pixel trumps Apple iPhone in Black Friday popularity

Google’s new Pixel smartphones proved popular than Apple’s iPhone during the busy holiday shopping season between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Even the Samsung Galaxy S7 sold better than iPhone 7/Plus according to the data presented by Localytics.

Google Pixel device activations were up 112% compared to the smartphone’s average number of activations in four preceding weekends. Samsung’s Galaxy S7 saw activations grow by 36% while the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and iPad mini 2 increased by 24 percent and 19 percent, respectively. At the bottom of the list is the iPhone 7, which saw a 13 percent bump in sales over Black Friday weekend, according to the research firm. Motorola trolls Apple in a new video

Apple Inc unveiled an iPhone 7 with high-resolution cameras and no headphone jack at its annual launch event Wednesday, though the biggest surprise was the debut of a three-decade-old Nintendo game franchise, Super Mario Bros, on the smartphone.  While shares of Apple barely budged, Nintendo’s U.S.-listed shares jumped 29 pct on investors’ hopes that Super Mario would be a mobile gaming hit for the Japanese company. iPhone 7 leaks on 4K video : Three iPhone 7 variants

This year’s iPhone 7 may be boring but that doesn’t mean fans aren’t excited, and that certainly doesn’t mean stuff wouldn’t get leaked.

This may not be the first time we are reporting a video that shows dummy units of the upcoming Apple iPhone 7. But this new video gives us a real close look at what the upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are likely to look like and that too in 4K quality. The interesting thing though is despite all the contradictions, the video shows three variants of the iPhone 7, including the iPhone 7 Pro.

It’s no secret that Apple is ditching the 3.5mm audio jack on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. A leaked video shows the Lightning to 3.5mm audio adaptor that could be bundled with the new iPhones.

It’s widely rumored that Apple plans to ditch the 3.5mm audio jack on the upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. While subsequent reports have talked about wireless headset and standard EarPods with a Lightning cable, a leaked video has surfaced online showing exactly what Apple may have in store. The video gives us our first look at a Lightning to 3.5mm adaptor, which actually makes more sense than earlier leaks.

Sketchy photos allegedly show real-life photos of the Apple iPad Pro 2 prototype. The tablet is expected to go into production in September

While all eyes are on the upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple also seems to be gearing up to launch the next-generation iPad Pro. Alleged photos of the Apple iPad Pro 2 with a 12.9-inch screen have surfaced in China, which is expected to go into production in September.
