[Poll] Allo is kind of dead in a way, are you still using it?

I’m pretty sure if you are even mildly involved in the Android world you know what Allo is. The expectedly revolutionary chat app that fell short on so many levels as I pointed out when it came out. While Allo did open to much fanfare like its sibling Duo and also much like it and Pokemon Go, users left disappointed when they found it wasn’t what they expected.

On September 28th, Allo co-lead Justin Uberti announced the app had received a staggering 5 million downloads within 5 days of launch. [Poll] Pixel & Pixel XL : Are they worth the price?

Packing a Snapdragon 821 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 32 or 128 gigs of native storage, and finally, a camera that is allegedly among the best ones in the class, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL are here to wage war on the very best the Android market has to offer.

[Poll] The best Nexus that ever was and will be

 It’s 2010: Steve Jobs unveils the first iPad to a wary crowd; Samsung announces the first entry in the Galaxy S series of smartphones; Angry Birds is a worldwide phenomenon; Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg is incarnated by Jesse Eisenberg in The Social Network; LeBron James decides to take his talents to South Beach.

And Google, amid much hype and hope, joins the smartphone revolution by coming out with the Nexus One for under $530 off contract. It’s the first Google phone, and while not as successful as later iterations, it will be seen by many as an integral part of Android’s trajectory.

[Poll] Lead Allo engineer ‘hints’ at proper SMS support at some point; How has your experience been?

One of my gripes with Allo – and quite a few of you as well –  is it’s shroddy SMS support that only ends up confusing people than making life easy. The weird half baked SMS support might turn into a proper functionality for Allo. It’s kind of hard to tell from the hint we have here but reading a little too much between the lines is kind of what we do here so.
