Superheroes are so mainstream today than they’ve ever been. Each year consistently sees movies after movies and now we have just as many comic book based TV shows (and yet the fanboy in me misses the good old Smallville days ). The gaming industry is not that far behind either with several titles such as Injustice and a new spin on the Dark Knight by Telltale.

Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and more of the most popular superheroes are sharing the screen once again with the Joker, Harley Quinn, Doomsday and more this fall. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced the upcoming release a new mobile game starring superheroes and super villains at New York Comic Con on Thursday, Oct. 6. The game is set to launch on November 3. Seven of the best video game stories

Games are meant to be played, but ever since Space Invaders introduced the idea of narrative scenarios, the digital medium has recognized its potential for storytelling. Over time the writing has improved, better graphics have allowed for more interesting techniques, and every now and then a game pushed the boundaries of just how mature a story could be. By this point gaming is undeniably a storytelling medium, and we’ve experienced some incredible stories in our history of gaming.

I went over all the games that I have played myself and have felt connected so much so that when they ended, I felt sad. These narratives made me feel, made me think, and kept me glued to the screen until I reached the resolution. These games all told stories that only could be possible in a video game, as is evident by all the failed video game movie adaptations and if we want this medium to keep evolving, then this is the perfect time to celebrate them.

Best RPGs for Android

Role-playing games are wonderful, story-driven experiences that complement the mobile gaming experience nicely. Despite the relatively tiny mobile screens we’re used to (yes, 5.7 inches is still small by gaming standards) RPGs allow us to get lost in fanciful worlds for a while.

In the case of some games, especially those ported over from PC, that “while” could be 20 or 30 hours! This makes the best RPGs worth their price in the Google Play Store. There are some duds in there, so we’ve hand-picked the best of the best to save you the trouble of digging.
