EE will carry Google’s Pixel phones in the UK

For what feels like an age now, we’ve been hearing of stories of the upcoming Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones from Google. We’ve seen them leak out in rumors, in detailed site listings, as well as in the flesh here and there as well. We know almost everything. Talk about killing a surprise.

UK retailer Carphone Warehouse did quite a good job at leaking even more than we already knew, after Canadian carriers Bell and Telus leaked press renders of the phones. Then US carrier Verizon joined the party revealing a blue variant of the phone in never seen before renders, so its not surprising now that EE, a carrier in UK, is also now teasing the Google Pixel Event due in a few hours from now.

Google Pixel hype has reached Australia; Telstra will Stock Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL

Google is setting itself a high bar for October Pixel phone reveal. By now, you must be aware that Google is going to unveil some things #MadeByGoogle at the event two of which will be the Pixel and Pixel XL.

For those that are unaware of the event, it does seem that Google is keen to ensure that they become aware of the event prior to the event taking place. Compared to previous years, it seems as though Google has been on quite a marketing push of late with billboards being spotted and even large statues which not only hint at the upcoming Pixel smartphones but also clearly detail the ‘made by Google’ branding and the date of the event. Xiaomi’s second teaser for Mi 5s shows a dual camera but the phone might not be Mi 5s after all, pricing leaked

After teasing high benchmark scores in the first teaser yesterday, Xiaomi has released a second teaser for the Mi 5S that confirms dual rear cameras for the smartphone. Earlier rumors said that it will feature a 16-megapixel cameras, so the secondary camera could have a smaller sensor like the Redmi Pro that was unveiled back in July has a 13-megapixel camera along with a 5-megapixel camera for achieving depth of field and real-time background blur.

Reports of Microsoft teasing the Surface Book 2 are false

Microsoft entered into the laptop market by launching the Surface Book last October. Now, there were reports that the company has teased the arrival of its successor on Instagram. This is probably the first time I’ve heard of Microsoft teasing something on Instagram. This could’ve meant that we may be looking at a much earlier release date, unless of course Microsoft does not end up delaying its next flagship 2-in-1. But as it turns out, the image was not really of the new Surface Book 2.

LG V20 teaser boasts of the phone’s audio capabilities

Most flagship phones turn away from incorporating a superior audio chip, because they believe that it’s the least of their concerns. Their primary concern would naturally revolve around a terrific display, impressive camera performance, optimized software and increased battery life. Delivering superior audio quality is something that most manufacturers overlook, but LG V20 could cater to the requirements of audiophiles by boasting this impressive feature. It will be the first smartphone to come with 32 bit Quad DACs when it arrives in September.
